Please mark your calendars for the next
Caribbean Regional Response Team (CRRT) meeting, which will be held January 23-25, 2024 at the US Coast Guard
Rio Bayamon housing complex. Here is a

Meeting Registration:
In order to ensure access to the USCG facility, please RSVP via the link
below. If you plan on attending, even if
you are not yet sure, please register by Thursday, January 13th,
at the following website, so your name can be provided to the security personnel
at the facility access gate:
https://einvitations.afit.edu/inv/anim.cfm?i=803695&k=0A61410F7252
There will not be separate invitations for
each day, so by RSVPing once, your name will be on the facility access list for
all three days. By accepting the
invitation, you will have the option to save the meeting on your calendar. Please note that this calendar entry will
default to Tuesday the 23rd, but you will be “registered” to attend for
all 3 days.
Our anticipated schedule for the week will be
as follows. A coastal Area Committee/AMSC/Port
Partners meeting is under
development for Tuesday morning. The CRRT
meeting will begin on Tuesday afternoon and continue all day on Wednesday and
conclude around noon on Thursday. We are
working on a training session on Thursday afternoon that will include ERMA
training, as well as an overview of NOAA’s ResponseLink system and other Common
Operating Picture (COP) and data/information management systems. Additional information on the training
session will be provided shortly.
The draft agendas for both the Area Committee
meeting and the CRRT meeting are currently under development. We expect to send
out the initial draft CRRT meeting agenda sometime next week. If
you have topics of interest or suggestions for the CRRT Meeting agenda, please
contact me by email at touw.steve@epa.gov, or LCDR Gabriella Zambrana, USCG CRRT
Coordinator at Gabriella.Z.Zambrana@uscg.mil, or by phone at (305) 415-7072.
As previously announced, we have not
set up a block of hotel rooms for this meeting, so I encourage you to make your
hotel reservations as soon as possible.
As of this afternoon, I was still able to identify several hotels in the
San Juan metropolitan area offering government rates that are located within a
short driving distance of the meeting location.
Note that most hotels charge a resort fee in addition to the room rate. Please feel free to contact me for additional
information on lodging options.
To ensure that all interested representatives
are made aware of this meeting, please pass on this notice to any other members
of your staff or agency/department, and to your local counterparts as well.
