Delaware Bay Coastal Area Contingency Plan
The Delaware Bay Area Contingency Plan describes the strategy for a coordinated federal, state, tribal and local response to a discharge or substantial threat of discharge of oil, or a release or substantial threat of release of hazardous substance(s) within the jurisdiction of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay Coastal Zone. The area of responsibility for Sector Delaware Bay includes the eastern three quarters of Pennsylvania, the entire state of Delaware, all of southern New Jersey and a major portion of northwest New Jersey. This area includes the Delaware Bay and River and its seaward approaches and the Chesapeake & Delaware (C&D) Canal to the Delaware/Maryland border.
