Welcome to the Region III Regional Response Team (RRT III) Home Page.
RRT III is the regional component of the National Response System for the states of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia (DC). It includes areas of responsibility for both EPA and USCG (see figure above).
RRT III is co-chaired by EPA and the USCG, with membership and participation from federal, state and local government agencies, and meets semi-annually to discuss planning and preparedness needs; review recent response actions or other issues related to the preparation, implementation, or exercise of regional and/or local plans; to conduct advance planning for use of dispersants or other chemical agents in response to oil spills; and to conduct or participate in training and exercises as necessary to encourage preparedness activities of the response community within the region.
